POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Position Title: Merchandise Analyst

Reports To: Director of Buying

Classification: Exempt

Location: Main Office

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Merchandise Analyst supports the Director of Buying and is responsible for, or will assist in, store level assortment adjustments, pricing, promotions, markdowns, allocation of inventory, store clustering, ad-hoc reporting, and other misc. duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Build, Develop, and Execute allocation strategies to maximize sell thru and profitability.
• Analyze sales trends to ensure in-stock of key items, and report internally to Leadership.
• Management of Store level inventory based on presentation levels with recommendations for increases or decreases based on overall sales, GMROI, and sell thru.
• Management of slow-moving items, with recommendations of permanent price action or promotions.
• Build store clusters based on similar selling tendencies, volume, or other product related KPIs.
• Partner with Marketing to build out promotion templates, and provide all necessary data (SKU, Quantity available, Price, product attributes, etc.).
• Systematically create promotions and price adjustments in the POS system to push to stores.
• Enter and compile data in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner, from internal and external partners.
• Purchase Order entry, tracking, and maintenance.
• Other sales/inventory reporting as needed
